How big a tent do you need?

A good rule of thumb is about 10 to 12 square feet per guest for a seated dinner at round tables, and 6 to 8 square feet per guest for a standing or cocktail-style crowd. Add room for a buffet, a DJ or band, a dance floor and a gift table. Our Tent Size Planner does the math for you, and we will double-check the layout before your date.

Corporate event planning tips

Pick the setup style first: cocktail tables for a mingling open house, rounds or banquet tables for a sit-down lunch.
Plan a stage or riser if anyone is speaking, handing out awards or cutting a ribbon.
Ask property management about parking-lot setups, staking and anything underground before the tent goes up.
Add sidewalls or heaters for spring and fall events so weather does not shorten the day.
Restrooms keep guests outdoors and out of your building.
